Designed for parents and children from birth to 3 years of age, Baby Hands classes are fun and interactive. We learn a number of practical and fun signs in each class, using games, activities, songs and stories to learn. We also talk about how to incorporate the signs into your daily routine to make sure that you have success in your signing.

“I started signing regularly with my son Mitchell from about 12 months and I had been doing some signs with him earlier than that. His first (and still favourite) sign is “book”.

When we started I was teaching Mitch the signs at home as there were no local signing groups. We were very blessed to have Yuki travel down to Inverell to run a course for our family and two other families. The interaction between adults and children of all ages was fantastic. As well as learning the signs we also learnt lots of great songs and got some excellent ideas for using signs with books.

Since the course I have been sharing lots of animal signs with the children in the playgroup we attend when it is my turn to read the story. The kids love it and many of the mums have commented on how fun and useful it is! I would thoroughly recommend doing a baby sign course for the fantastic interactive benefits and song and story ideas. Thanks Yuki!

Baby Hands classes also give you the opportunity to meet new people on the Sunshine Coast who share your interest in baby sign language. Classes are currently being held at Yin Health (The Edge, Ground Floor East, 10 Lake Kawana Blvd, Birtinya) but as demand for classes grow, I will start lesson at more locations around the Sunshine Coast.

I am also available to teach private classes, intensive courses, mother’s groups, and playgroups, at a time and place that is convenient to you, and I have resources for Child Care Centres.Baby Hands classes are limited to 10 places, so please book early to secure your spot.

Classes are divided into four stages – Introductory, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The Introductory class is a stand-alone session and all other levels are completed as a six-week program or as an intensive workshop.
